Refund policy

Under EU consumer law, you have 14 days from the date you receive your order to request a return, without giving any reason.

Right of withdrawal — exceptions

The 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to all purchases. It is excluded for:

  • Goods made to order or clearly personalised to your specifications
  • Sealed goods unsealed after delivery that cannot be returned for hygiene or health protection reasons (e.g. cosmetics, skincare)
  • Perishable goods or goods with a short shelf life
  • Sale items and gift cards

Because the sloow market works with small independent makers — many of whom produce in limited runs or on a made-to-order basis — some products on our platform may fall under these exceptions. Where this is the case, it will be clearly stated on the product page before you place your order.

If you use this option, we will send you a confirmation of receipt by email without undue delay.

How to request a return

To start a return, contact us at hello@sloowmarket.com within 14 days of receiving your order.

To be eligible, your item must be:

  • In the same condition as received — unworn, unused, with tags attached
  • In its original packaging
  • Accompanied by your receipt or proof of purchase

If your return is accepted, we will provide instructions on how and where to send your parcel. Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, except in cases of defective or incorrect items — in which case we will cover the cost.

Damaged or incorrect items

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If your item is defective, damaged, or not what you ordered, contact us immediately at hello@sloowmarket.com so we can assess the situation and resolve it.

Exchanges

If you'd like to exchange an item, the simplest way is to return the original and place a new order once your return has been accepted.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll notify you by email whether it has been approved. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 3–5 working days.
